Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: September 1, 2026
TradeSoftGuide is a free resource for tradespeople. We don't sell software, we don't run sponsored posts, and we don't charge for access to our reviews. The site is funded primarily through affiliate partnerships with the software vendors we cover.
How affiliate links work
When you click a link on TradeSoftGuide and end up signing up for or purchasing a product, the vendor may pay us a commission. This is the standard affiliate model used by most review sites, from Wirecutter to NerdWallet to PCMag.
The commission comes out of the vendor's marketing budget, not your pocket. You pay the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the vendor's site. In some cases, our links include exclusive discount codes that save you money.
What this means for our recommendations
We only recommend products we'd genuinely suggest to a friend running a trades business. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial coverage in any way. Specifically:
- No pay-for-placement. We never accept payment to rank a product higher than it deserves.
- No pre-publication review. Vendors don't see our articles before they go live.
- No removal of negative coverage. If we say a tool is bad, that review stays up regardless of affiliate status.
- No "advertorial" content. All articles on this site are editorially independent, written by our editorial team, and clearly labeled by type (review, comparison, guide, roundup).
What we earn
Commission rates vary by vendor. Most of the field service software tools we cover pay 20–30% recurring for the first year of a customer's subscription, or a flat fee per qualified signup. Some pay one-time bounties, some pay lifetime recurring, some pay nothing at all (we cover some tools purely because they're useful, even with no affiliate program).
We do not disclose specific commission rates publicly, but we're transparent about which products we have affiliate relationships with. Every article that contains affiliate links includes a notice at the bottom of the page.
Current affiliate and referral partners
As of the date at the bottom of this page, TradeSoftGuide has active referral relationships with the following software vendors. This list is updated whenever a new partner is added.
- Jobber — Direct affiliate partnership (managed through PartnerStack). Customer referrals earn a commission when a referred user signs up for a paid Jobber plan.
- Workiz — Direct partnership (Influencer track via Workiz.com/partners). Customer referrals earn a commission on qualifying signups.
- ServiceTitan — Direct partner referral program (via ServiceTitan's strategic partner intake). For ServiceTitan, we receive a $500 reward per qualified demo attended plus 10–20% of the customer's first-year spend (capped at $10,000 per referral). ServiceTitan only pays out on referrals for service businesses with 3+ technicians, which is consistent with how we position ServiceTitan in our content (as the right tool once a business has outgrown the mid-market options).
We may add additional partner relationships over time. Any new partner will be added to this list, and any commission earned will be subject to the same editorial standards described above.
Our editorial process
TradeSoftGuide's editorial team is responsible for all content on the site. We sign up for tools, test them, write reviews, and update articles when the software changes. Affiliate partnerships are handled separately and do not involve the editorial team.
If you ever feel one of our reviews is inaccurate, biased, or out of date, please let us know. We take feedback seriously and update our coverage as needed.
